POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for independently performing various finance functions that ensure GAAP compliance. Responsible for ensuring tax compliance. Analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to establish and/or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within Tilson.
Essential Functions:
Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide technical, administrative, and general professional guidance in the area of accounting.
- Manage to and Support Corporate Culture
- Mentor and Develop staff to Professional Grade
- Oversee Process Improvement Initiatives
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting related processes and tasks.
- Coordinate with Senior Management on various duties, projects, and initiatives as requested:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Accounting or Finance experience required.
- Five years’ relevant management experience required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- CPA Required.
KNOWLEDGE skills and ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Exemplary history of financial project management
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of email and MS Office software programs necessary.
- Familiarity with popular / common HRIS systems preferred.
- Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand under one-third of the time.
- Ability to walk under one-third of the time.
- Ability to sit over two-thirds of the time.
- Ability to talk or hear from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
- Ability to lift over 20lbs. under one-third of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work in a remote at home environment that is conducive to protected health information, secure records, and system access points.
- The work environment is that of a fast-paced office with minimal to high noise levels.
- This position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
- This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.
- This position requires client information to be maintained appropriately confidential.
