POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for independently performing various finance functions that ensure GAAP compliance. Responsible for ensuring tax compliance. Analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to establish and/or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within Tilson.

 

Essential Functions:

Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide technical, administrative, and general professional guidance in the area of accounting.
  • Manage to and Support Corporate Culture
  • Mentor and Develop staff to Professional Grade
  • Oversee Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting related processes and tasks.
  • Coordinate with Senior Management on various duties, projects, and initiatives as requested:

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting or Finance experience required.
  • Five years’ relevant management experience required.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • CPA Required.
 

KNOWLEDGE skills and ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exemplary history of financial project management

 

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of email and MS Office software programs necessary.
  • Familiarity with popular / common HRIS systems preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology tools.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to stand under one-third of the time.
  • Ability to walk under one-third of the time.
  • Ability to sit over two-thirds of the time.
  • Ability to talk or hear from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
  • Ability to lift over 20lbs. under one-third of the time.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work in a remote at home environment that is conducive to protected health information, secure records, and system access points.
  • The work environment is that of a fast-paced office with minimal to high noise levels.
  • This position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
  • This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.
  • This position requires client information to be maintained appropriately confidential.
