About the Position of Marketing Manager

Music for All is seeking Marketing Manager to lead a team of Marketing associates and manage marketing and promotion campaigns. The Marketing Manager works under the direction of the Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications and is an important part of the Music for All Team.

Required skills and characteristics:

  • Four-year Degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • Four years of positions in marketing and/or communications fields.
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to manage people.
  • Self-starter who can work independently as part of a national team.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Confident and dynamic personality.
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Strong, effective communicator.
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques.
  • Keen eye for graphic design, attention to detail, and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud suite preferred. Familiarity with email marketing software preferred. Familiarity with various social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, preferred.

Experience in the primary duties of the role, which include but are not limited to:

  • Supervision of Marketing staff, interns, and outside contractors.
  • Creating and collaborating on digital, online, and print marketing strategies; create and deploy marketing campaigns.
  • Setting departmental outcomes and priorities in collaboration with EVP, Marketing and Communications.
  • Planning and development of communications to support marketing objectives.
  • Collecting and analyzing data to continually improve quality and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Supervising event video production and photography with providers and assigning marketing staff in related roles.
  • Supervising marketing intern recruiting.
  • Collaborate with other departments within Music for All on marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Reviews projects across the organization to ensure proper grammar, accuracy, brand enforcement, organizational and mission messaging, and meeting of style guidelines.
     

Every candidate for a position at Music for All must understand and acknowledge that a substantial portion of the organization’s business is the planning and execution of special events. As such, all Music for All employees are involved in the planning of events and have some on-site event production duties and responsibilities with some travel required.
