ABOUT GLOBAL PREPARATORY ACADEMY

Global Preparatory Academy (GPA) is a mission driven school, dedicated to developing compassionate global leaders through a bilingual/bi-literate education program that focuses on hands-on and cultural learning opportunities.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide additional reading support to students in our School Wide reading intervention program. Parent Corp members will work alongside our reading interventionist working directly with students to ensure they grow to become proficient readers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meeting with reading interventionist weekly
• Practicing high frequency words and recording student progress
• Listening to student read and recording student errors
• Helping students select books to read.
• Checking student reading logs
• Perform related work as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Current parent or grandparent of a Global Prep student
• Commitment to our mission to grow students academically and behaviorally with a high standard of excellence.
• Proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative and teamwork
• Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to one’s work

Hiring Timeline:

December 20-21 - Interviews

January 6 or 7 - Training (2 hours)

January 10 - First Day
